Hi everyone,
I've had a fairly eventful last month, so I thought i'd update you on what i've been up to.
The following weekend I went to Berlin to visit a friend who is currently living there. It's quite an amazing place to visit- the reminders of WW2 and the cold war are really poignant, and remind you how recent (and current) these 'historical' events actually are. I'm not sure how well I've captured this with a picture of us eating ice creams leaning against a section of the wall- but there you go...
Less related to the war, last weekend I went with a couple of friends to the Moseley Folk Festival. Moseley is quite a trendy area (for Birmingham at least...) close to where I live. The festival is held in a 'secret' private park (you have to be a key holder to get in). Anyway, there was a really nice atmosphere- we had picnics watching the music, washed down with local ale. If i'm honest, occasionally the music made me cringe a little, but in general it was fantastic, and there was a real breadth of style.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Jonathan
p.s. Paul- pleased to hear you'll soon be joining me in the West Midlands! Warwick uni isn't far away, so if you're interested, I'll let you know about any good gigs this way. I've got Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes and Kings of Leon lined up so far...

Great blog entry, what an idyllic life you lead! And you beat me to the Normandy beaches, I've been meaning to go there for ages.
We've been enjoying Green Wing lately (DVDs using my birthday money) and I've been reliving the 70's with the good old Led Zeppelin DVD. They are apparently in the studio currently with a possible tour.
Wow, you have been busy in the holidays, sounds great. And us regular bloggers are glad that there are some new entries! Hope to see you soon - Christmas looms! Dx
